Nov. 11, 2010 _________________________________________________________ NYSEG AND RG&E BEGIN SECOND ROUND OF NONRESIDENTIAL Rochester, NY, November 10, 2010 – NYSEG and RG&E are again looking for innovative energy-saving proposals from nonresidential customers or third-party aggregators working with those customers. The proposals must have a minimum bid of 100,000 kilowatt-hours (kwh) of electricity and deliver the proposed energy savings after bid acceptance and no later than October 2012. Project proposals that save the most energy at the least cost will receive funding in the second round of the Block Bidding Program.
First Round Winners
Another lighting project that will save approximately 500,000 kwh of electricity through October 2012 is being finalized. NYSEG and RG&E approved approximately $1.55 million for these projects which will save approximately 6.5 million kwh of electricity through October 2012, and will eliminate 3,250 tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
