Oct. 29, 2010
Ron Ricotta, CEO of Century Mold, noted: “We are pleased to receive the Environmental Impact Award from Power Management Company. Improving the environment is everyone’s business, and we appreciate the recognition of our efforts to become a greener company. Power Management Company provided us with a lighting solution for our Rochester facility that reduced our annual electricity use by over 314,000 kWh, and helped reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.” Century Mold was able to secure partial financing for the project from NYSERDA through a performance-based incentive program. The company also benefitted from the Federal Energy Policy Act, which provides tax deductions to businesses that implement energy efficiency measures. In the US, it is becoming more important for companies to reduce greenhouse gases due to new environmental regulations. Power Management’s LightSavers program helped Century Mold reduce CO2 by 113 tons; sulfur dioxide by 944 pounds; and nitrogen oxide by 261 lbs. Century Mold Company is a leading OEM provider of plastic components to the automotive industry. Its headquarters is located in Rochester, New York. It has a Sales and Engineering Center in Detroit, Michigan; and it has additional manufacturing facilities in Cincinnati, Dayton, Nashville and Chihuahua, Mexico. Power Management Company provides energy strategies, purchasing programs and energy efficiency services for US-based companies. For more information, contact John Burt at 585-249-1360.
